having done this a number of times on tractor's , its simple and takes out all the play and sloppy fit of cotter pin mounting. pto lever to clutch disk , measure where clevis point is, cut off excess thread on threaded rod. old thread is 3/8 x 16 , grind a taper on the end of that and use a 3/8 x 24 die nut right over the old thread. its simple and easy, use a 3/8x 24 female / stud fitting ,about 7$ . screw on to rethreaded rod and adjust till lever handle stops firmly at horizontal setting. having done this on two horses now, as well as heim joints at clutch rod ends. also did this on my plow blade, went from clunky sloppy fit to smooth and solid, blade angle movement is very easy. any questions , let me know, pete

Took me a while to picture in my mind what you did, but once I got it (I think  ) it sounds like a great upgrade. I'll have to keep it in mind.
