belt replacement 05-36ms01 deck

I have an 1982 c-85 8 spd with a 36 inch side discharge mower deck (05-36ms01). The deck belt broke and I got a replacement 8411 belt. Since the belt broke while in use, I was not able to see how it ran through the pulley's. Now I can't find any info on how to replace the belt.
The new belt is the same size as the broken one, so I know it is the right part, but I can't figure out how it goes through the pulley's to fit. Everything I try, the new belt is way to big.
Does anyone know where i can go to find an explanation as to how this belt should be properly replaced

You can download the operator manual from the Files of

but doubt it will help. The file is named "Mower Rotary 36in SD 1980-83 05-36MS01&02 OM #810306R1"

The 8411 belt is 1/2"x77" long.
