I have a 1990 520 H and want to know where the oil drain is for the transmission and what type of transmission fluid is correct. I have the correct replacement filter for it already. Any help will be appreciated. thanks very much!

From the lubrication chart the 1990 520-H uses SAE 10W-30 or SAE 10W-40 engine oil. The dry capacity is 5 US quarts but you will not get it all out so that will be enough.

If you look at the bottom left corner of the cast case there will be a 1/4" pipe plug that takes an Allen wrench. The hole may be plugged with dirt so clean it out and tap in the wrench to be sure it is well seated. You don't want to strip out the hex. A good quality Allen wrench with 3/8" square drive for a ratchet or bar is recommended. The plug requires a thread sealer since it is a tapered pipe plug.
