I have a 1987 21-12K804-312-8 Toro/Wheel Horse Garden Tractor with a mower deck attachment.
I've had an electrical problem for quite sometime that I want to repair properly. With the ignition switch in the "Off" position the light for the "Parking Brake" stays illuminated which runs the battery down if the inline fuse isn't pulled. What replacement part or repair must I perform to properly correct this electrical problem? Apparently this is a common problem with this particular tractor. On another forum I read about the very same problem but, the owners solution was to only disconnect the light.
Any advise or solution is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Have never had a problem with one but might just be lucky. I would pull the circuit board out and look at the condition of the traces. Just cleaning the dirt off it may bring it back to life.
The board is powered by the battery and not switched so remove the negative battery cable before working on it. Need a wiring diagram?
Let us know what you do or find.
