Do you know the model number of your tractor? There are 21 different models built between 1988-97 and the serial number is also required for 1/2 of them. Usually the adjustments are explained in the OM so with the model and serial we can try to direct you to them. The data decal may be on the rear fender pan just below the left side of the seat.

The 520s all used the same tranny as far as I know.

-Block the rear wheels up off the ground in a manner you can engage the drive without the tractor moving.

-Raise the seat and find the "cam bolt" in the hole in the fender under the seat.

-Crank the tractor, and depress the brake pedal all the way. When you release it, your wheels should not turn. If they do, rotate the "cam bolt" in small increments until you've found the "neutral" position. The wheels should not rotate at all when you have found it. It may take a few minutes to get it right.

-Tighten the bolt, and you're done. There aren't any other adjustments per the manuals.

Almost all of the 300/400/500 series tractor manuals, even the 8 speed tractors, have this procedure listed with pics for reference.

Good luck!

Kevin
